Specially Designed Copings for Stability of Overdentures
Aim: The aim of this study was to describe the process of fabrication of specially designed MCOP and define their function in improving of stability. Purpose: In many clinical situations, exposed dentin surfaces of abutment teeth were restored with metal copings prior to fabrication of the overdentures. The aim of this study was to examine a procedure for fabrication of specially designed metal...

This work reports and illustrates the application of enhancement techniques to images of nervous system from a confocal microscope. These images are processed to enhance regions of interest, e.g. nucleus and nervous terminations. Hidden information due to non-ideal acquisition must be exposed after processing, and errors such as non-uniform brightness, noise and artifacts must be eliminated.
متن کاملHigh Accurate Hobbing with Specially Designed Finishing Hobs
Introduction Load-carrying capacity of gears, especially the surface durability, is influenced by their tooth surface roughness in addition to their tooth profiles and tooth traces (Refs. 1 and 2). The harder the gears are, the smoother their tooth surfaces and the more accurately their tooth profiles should be finished in order to obtain high load-carrying capacity. Through research, the relat...
متن کاملA Technique and Results Using a Specially Designed Knife
We describe a safe and easy percutaneous technique for release of trigger finger using a specially designed knife. The A1 pulley is sectioned by a blade which has a hooked end. We released, percutaneously, 185 trigger fingers, including 62 which were locked using this technique. Satisfactory results were achieved in 173 (93.5%). There were no significant complications. We recommend this as a sa...
